UNDER THE LAW.
As a native-born Mexican with a large extended family still in Mexico, Lori understands the struggles immigrants face in attempting to enter and start new lives in the United States. Having recently become a naturalized U.S. Citizen, Lori has first-hand experience in dealing with the Department of Homeland Security and the federal government. It is this understanding of the system that gives her the ability and knowledge necessary to zealously represent her clients throughout immigration processes.
Lori graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in 1997. In 2002, Lori earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
During law school, Lori completed judicial clerkships with the Honorable David Medina (157th Civil District Court) and the Honorable Katie Kennedy (164th Civil District Court). Lori also was a team member of the Mock Trial Team and competed in the Joh Black Moot Court Competition.
In 2002, Lori began practicing law with a local immigration attorney. Since such time, Lori has expanded her legal practice to also include defending individuals accused of criminal offenses.
