EDUCATION
Marcos graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1996. From 1996 to 2000, he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Houston Law Center, while simultaneously completing his Master of Business Administration at the University of Houston School of Business.
During law school, Marcos completed judicial clerkship with the Honorable Vanessa D. Gilmore (U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas) and the Honorable Eric G. Andell (First District Court of Appeals).
Marcos began practicing law in 2000 with a Dallas-based law firm in its litigation section. During his tenure, Marcos first-chaired trials in Dallas County and Tarrant County in addition to representing clients in numerous court proceedings in Harris County.
